consonance and dissonance —- are they opposing ??
sound can be amplifying, cancelling, proactive, reactive.
Hollow sounding, crying, piercing, shrill, provoking, startling, shocking….
One window, two windows, three windows, four windows…chambers can match, they can be of different lengths – all of which alters the finished sound.
The amount of air blown and intensity can raise or lower the pitch, in other words manipulating each and every whistle sound.
And why is dissonance so unsettleing ??? What deeper emotional string does dissonance tug on ???
For Pete's sake…..isn't it just a whistle ???
