WOW, INTERESTING EXPERIMENT ADDING COMMENTS BACK IN TO THE WEBSITE, SIMPLY CAPITAL.
Bad news….inundated with spam. The reality is that there is so much spam ( internet vomit ) coming in that no comments can be worth wading through all the garbage ( and lies )

What kind of lies ?? All the fabricated rhetoric about the website blogs that are made up just to talk about themselves and nothing about whistles.

Isn’t that interesting ??? Yup, it turns out that these are drowning out everyone else. Inundated, drowning…..

As Spock would say ‘fascinating’. Why do we say that ?? Because one wonders if there has ever been even one person who wrote back or placed an order with any spam solicitation?? More likely it only has to do with creating more hits for Google to track for their own website.

Sort of like standing on top of a person to get your head above water and drowning that person in the process.

Yes, we sell books on antique whistles, However it is painful. Never guess why though…..

SPAM and PHISHING.

Yup, get it all the time on book orders. For instance we will get an order with every line filled out with the email to reply to instead of quantity. Not very hard to spot really, but painful for some reason. Perhaps it is the thought that someone new is interested and then seeing that yeah, someone is interested  — in stealing everything we own !!!

Sad to see that for every good effort, there is someone responding in a bad way too.

Apparently the price one pays for sticking ones neck out.

So yeah, we BOTH pay to get those books. Are they worth it . Yup !!!

No matter what we post the books are indispensible.

In what ways ???

Well lets spend a few days thinking about this…..

why post blogs about whistles ?? — trivia is important. Sometimes it is a minor detail that fills in a blank you have been wondering about or a connection that you have overlooked. I know I have and just an off hand comment maybe makes that bridge.

Then again, it gives you new ideas as you put together all the details and the results create a fund of knowledge. After all, you may have noted a dearth of information on the net ??

So talk it up !!!

Gotta admit, most of the write ins are after free information that may have taken a thousand blogs to figure out. Then again, 1 in 20 write ins are avid collectors or seriously developing ones, so it works for the best really…

well, it is only a week or so before posting a new article. Wouldn’t it be nice to get a couple related articles ?? Hmmm…

Perhaps one on the 5th and then a follow up on the 20th. —- Yeah, that’s the ticket 🙂

What does it take to create a whistle website?? Work. Whistles. World Wide Web. That’s a lot of Double-Us isn’t it. More  than alliteration is literature. In this case articles about whistles. So in our efforts to constantly expand our understanding about whistles we will be introducing a couple more catagories of SPOTLIGHTS  !!!! That makes FOUR !!!

Yup,
SPOTLIGHT – A … full blown article about a subject
SPOTLIGHT – B … special edition about an only known example
SPOTLIGHT – C … RESTORATION
SPOTLIGHT – D … The ‘A’ List

One new one will be called RESTORATIONS and one can only guess what that will be about 🙂 ….DER !!!

Another one is going to be called SPOTLIGHT  The ‘A’  List …. hmmmmm….. what can that one be ?? well it wouldn’t be much of a surprise now would it ??

This website thing is really taking off !! Making lots of money ?? NAH. None at all. But that isn’t and hasn’t been the motivation. Just sharing info on whistles.

well, really it’s payback.

The more we find in this new and exciting hobby ( new to the world anyway ) the more we share and hopefully the more will be brought out of those places where all whistles reside when not wanted — now they are wanted !!!

So everything we learn we share by posting on the website. That’s half the story anyway. The other half is that we are constantly searching for whistles, doing research, writing articles, taking pictures, and submitting everything for your approval.

Yup, if more people read and see whistles then perhaps more will surface. Then perhaps we will learn more is all

So every time Facebook's likes are employed a link to the site is spread and maybe whistles will one day be as popular as corkscrews…

the website has changed again !!! finally highlighting some whistles to sell !!! We usually don’t try very hard to sell off the web unless someone really wants a whistle or two. But the shows always do well.
Why ??
Because ironically most people buy whistles on how they feel !!! Yep, they feel the weight or smoooooothness or the chain looks great. But BLOW it ??? That usually comes last if at all…who knew ??
So only the most avid and savvy collectors buy off the website. However the interesting thing is that 2/3 of the visitors look at the for sale section.
Why ??
Perhaps to price their own whistle to sell them ?? Too bad cause the prices are set high on purpose. Only a serious enquiry gets a REAL price 🙂
OR to check their own purchase — if they got a good deal ??
OR just plain trolling for whistles and that is great too.

So there you have it. We will be doing bi-monthly special sales now and every two months 10 more will go on special, but the previous ten will be removed 🙁 — toooo late !!!
